2016 in Review Part 1

It always takes me a little while to catch my breath after the busy season and holidays, both of which I love, to sit down and look back in appreciation of the past year. I can think back and relive every session knowing that with each one it started with the desire to preserve a time in life, a memory that can all too quickly fade, which then develops into a plan to perfectly capture the memory, followed by the portrait session (fun in and of itself!) and the finished product carefully put together to display. In the end there's so much satisfaction handing over beautiful artwork to my clients knowing they dreamed of having their most precious memories in print, bringing their vision to completion.

This was an extended family session which I adore because it marks the legacy of two people dedicated to raising their children and counting their grandchildren as more precious lives are added as the years go by. At the end of family portraits we had some extra time to get a few candids, always a favorite as it's a chance to capture personalities and relationships....and even a little adventure.
